We started our training programmes for staff today. The first in the series of the training is on creating blogs. We had scheduled the training for Friday 14 May, but there was Ascension holiday on Thursday 13 May, which seemed to undermine the training scheduled for Friday. Many colleagues took leave to stretch their delight of the holiday undisturbed. We had to reschedule the training for today. Whilst we requested staff to indicate if they will be able to attend, only a handful indicated interest. Getting to the training venue, there were more staff than the number of computers available. Provision was made for 25 members whilst more than 30 members turned up. Another training is re-scheduleld for members who could not attend the training today.
